Terms of Service

These are the standard terms that apply when Regal Irrigation gives you a quote or carries out work. Once you accept a written quote and we start the job, you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, but they're still a legal document.
1. Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date we send them. After that, prices may change because of supplier costs. We give you a fixed-price quote in writing after the on-site visit. If we discover something unexpected once the job starts (rock, hidden plumbing, contaminated soil) we'll stop, talk to you, and only proceed when you've approved any change in writing.
2. Deposits and payment
For new installs we ask for a 30% deposit to lock in your install date and order parts. The balance is due on the day the system is signed off and running, paid by bank transfer or card.
For service jobs, the $179 call-out fee is paid when we arrive on site. The service fee is due on completion.
Late payments may incur interest at 1.5% per month after 14 days overdue.
3. Call-out and service fees
The $179 call-out fee covers our travel and on-site diagnosis time. If you choose to proceed with the service on the same visit, the $179 is credited toward the service fee.
The $399 service fee covers up to 2 hours of on-site labour and minor consumable parts (drippers, clamps, fittings, end caps). Major parts such as controllers, valves or solenoids are quoted separately and only purchased with your approval.
4. Site access and safety
You're responsible for giving us safe access to the property on the agreed dates. We mark out the planned trench lines with you before digging. If there's underground infrastructure not marked on Dial Before You Dig (private cables, old plumbing) and we damage it through reasonable care, repair is at your cost. If we hit something due to negligence on our part, we cover it.
5. Warranty
- Parts (Hunter): 5 year manufacturer warranty, claimed through Hunter Industries directly. We handle the paperwork for you.
- Workmanship: 2 years on our installations from the date of handover. If a Regal-installed pipe, fitting or join fails because of how we installed it, we'll come back and fix it for free.
- Service work: 90 days on the specific repair we did. Unrelated issues elsewhere in the system are not covered.
Warranty does not cover damage from third parties digging into pipes, frost, vehicle traffic over heads, vandalism, or alterations made by anyone other than Regal Irrigation.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel a booked install up to 7 days before the start date for a full refund of your deposit. Inside 7 days, we keep the deposit to cover ordered parts and lost scheduling.
7. Liability
We carry $5 million in public liability insurance through Bizcover, and WorkCover through Allianz. To the extent permitted by Australian law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the price of the job.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Disputes
If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Email sales@regalirrigation.com.au or call us. Almost every issue can be sorted with a phone call. If not, the matter is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
9. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one in force on the date you accept the quote.
10. Who we are
Regal Irrigation is a trading division of Regal Landscaping Pty Ltd, an Australian company registered in Victoria.
